4 Year Old Kindergarten Sessions & Fees

In 2022, our kindergarten will be implementing a government funded rotational long day model for our 4-year-old program. In this model  three x groups of 4-year old children will attend within the 4-year-old program twice a week for 7.5 hours (two full days).

The 2022 timetable is as follows:

KOOKABURRA GROUP – Tuesday & Wednesday (2 x days 8:30am – 4:00pm).

PLATYPUS GROUP – Tuesday & Thursday (2 x days 8:30am – 4:00pm).

KANGAROO GROUP – Wednesday & Thursday (2 x days 8:30am – 4:00pm).

The 4 year old program is government funded in 2022 for 15 hours per week at a cost of $460.00 per term (four terms a year).

Maintenance Levy

All families are required to pay a $50.00 Maintenance Levy.

Fundraising Levy

All families are required to pay a $50.00 Fundraising Levy. This levy has been introduced in lieu of running multiple fundraising events throughout the year to raise much needed funds to assist with covering the costs of purchasing and replacing materials and equipment, incursions and excursions, and maintenance work. The Fundraising Levy is non-refundable. From time to time, the centre may run small fundraising events that relate directly to the kindergarten programs, i.e. Mother’s/Father’s Day activities, Christmas Raffle etc.

The State Government provides a subsidy per child which contributes towards but does not cover the costs of operating the kindergarten – please refer to the kindergarten fee subsidy for more information. Kindergarten fees are paid in advance, with families making payments in instalments each term. Please refer to the Statement of Fees and Charges document, the Fee Payment Agreement and the Fees Policy for more information.

Kindergarten Fee Subsidy

Edward Street Preschool is offering a 4 year old kindergarten program for 2022 of 15 hours per week. Eligible card holders for the Kindergarten fee subsidy are FULLY funded by the State Government and are only required to pay the kindergarten fundraising and maintenance levy.
